Godiva, the trailblazing symphonic death metal band from Portugal, has been making waves in both national and international music scenes. The band captivated audiences with their stunning performance at Laurus Nobilis MusicFest, followed by a memorable appearance at Vagos Metal Fest, featuring a live orchestra and a sold-out show at the iconic Hard Rock Café Porto.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Godiva defied the odds by delivering sold-out concerts at the RCA Club in Lisbon and the Laurus Nobilis Hangover Festival, in addition to a powerful showcase at the Riverstone Metal Festival.
At the start of the year 2023, Godiva released two acclaimed singles, “The Meaning of Life” and “Media God,” setting the stage for their next big venture. In 2023, they were embarking on an extensive European tour to promote their latest album, Hubris, with confirmed stops in countries such as France, Switzerland, Romania, , Belgium, Poland, Bulgary and the Czech Republic, including a performance at the Ostrava v Plamenech Festival , Rock n iasi , and a 10 days tour in spain.
This year 2024 we started with a sold out live show at Albania , an Eastern European tour, and performances at both the Master of Rock Festival and Pannonian Festival, culminating in a UK tour in November. As they traverse these stages, Godiva is set to push the limits of melodic death metal even further, with plans to compose a new album in 2024 featuring the dynamic drumming of Gaspar Ribeiro, promising earth-shattering blast beats and frenetic grooves that will keep the genre evolving and fresh.
