Godiva is a trailblazing symphonic death metal band from Portugal, acclaimed for their powerful blend of orchestral arrangements and extreme metal energy. The band has captivated audiences at major festivals such as Laurus Nobilis MusicFest, Vagos Metal Fest, and Hard Rock Café Porto, and has built a strong international presence with tours across France, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Spain, and the UK.
In 2023, Godiva released the singles “The Meaning of Life” and “Media God,” supporting their album “Hubris” with an extensive European tour. The momentum continued into 2024, with sold-out shows in Albania, a major Eastern European tour, and standout performances at festivals including Master of Rock and Pannonian Festival.
2025 marks a new chapter for the band with the addition of Italian drummer Gemma Sofia Salvatori, who made her Portuguese debut at the June 15th show at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, supporting I AM MORBID. The current lineup features Pedro Faria (vocals), André Matos (rhythm guitar & orchestrations), Ricardo Ribeiro (lead guitar), Damian Kuzniar (bass), and Gemma Sofia Salvatori (drums).
Now in the final phase of promoting “Hubris,” Godiva is already working on their next album, promising a bold evolution in their sound. With confirmed appearances at major events like Milagre Metaleiro Open Air 2025, Godiva continues to cement their reputation as one of Portugal’s most innovative and internationally recognized metal acts.
